To support the Team in developing, planning, executing, monitor and evaluating Events and Activations region wide which deliver annual portfolio, sales and brand objectives and sales targets (such as brand awareness, volume and market share), on budget and on time. 

  • Portfolio strategy: Together with the National Trade Marketing Manager and others to determine portfolio strategy including identification of insight-based portfolio development opportunities.  Develop insight-based consumer & customer promotion strategies for the brands in the portfolio, in line with the overall portfolio strategy. 
  • Brand activity plans: In Alignment with NTMM work on the production of Annual Trade marketing plan for each product in the portfolio, to deliver annual brand objectives and targets.  Ensure that agreed brand activity programs are effectively implemented, on budget and on time, with evaluations of major initiatives to capture learnings for future planning.
  • Budget: Identify and recommend the Annual Trade marketing budget required for each brand in the portfolio to meet the brand objectives and targets. Recommend the allocation of the approved marketing budget by activity by region on a monthly basis across the brands portfolio.  Ensure that marketing expenditure vs. budget is monitored and reported on time. 
  • Working Procedures:  Ensure that all Sales working procedures & sign offs are implemented & embedded in to everyday UB-WOW [United Beverages -Ways Of Working].
  • Capability building and people development: Align with the NTMM in best practice processes and develop their own team capabilities through performance management, coaching and identification of training needs.
  • Management of third-party agencies, Brand Ambassadors and suppliers:  Assist the NTMM with the performance review process for third-party agencies and suppliers used by the Commercial function.  Identify and address performance issues as they [Agency, Brand Ambassadors, etc.] arise.
  •  Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status. Conduct regular market visits to check [Availability, Visibility Standards are met, Relationships are up to standard] in the market, competitor’s activities and look for new creative occasions in order to safeguard the customer base and increase UB market share,
  • Regular Report: –
  • Once a Week Events and Activation Report,
  • Event or Activation Assessment Report [Post],
  • Other reports as required.
  • Other: Carry out other tasks and related duties not specified in the above responsibilities, as assigned by the line manager.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Any Social Science fields desired,
  • 5 Years experience in various Events and Activation roles,
  • FMCG experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic high growth environment,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • Eagerness and drive to succeed and achieve personal development and company goal’s,
  • Familiarity with Nationwide Activation planning and execution,

  • Strong command of written and spoken English language
  • Familiarity in using Microsoft office [Word, excel PowerPoint],
  • On demand bases must be able to travel to regions, work after hours, weekends and Holidays,

United Beverages is looking to hire Energetic, passionate, and potential Company Sales Representatives who are willing to be assigned and work in different parts of  Ethiopia,

Main Purpose

  • Increase sales volume within their assigned Territory/Region in order to ensure competitiveness and innovation of the company and achieve growth targets.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Everyday Great Execution of aiming to achieve 100 % of the set Target.
  • Visit outlets and customers on daily bases.
  • Fully engaged and take accountability for timely completion (100%) of all promotional activities and submission of documents within a set timeline after the activation.
  • Demonstrate high visibility on the market through customer development and Customer Relationship Management. Spend 100% of the time on trade
  • Ensure attending of morning meetings with VSMs & issues reported timely/daily
  • On-time Submission of Weekly/Monthly Journey Plan and adherence to it
  • Ensure daily Early Morning Deliveries

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience and Key Skills  

  • BA degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or other related fields
  • Successful previous experience in a sales position
  • Minimum 2 years of experience for BA holders and 5 years for diploma holders in a similar position.
  • Good understanding of how Field Sales operate within the Sales organization
  • Commitment to continuous education through workshops, seminars, and conferences
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Required Differentiating Competencies 

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively customers and team members
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Strong decision-making abilities
