Premier Switch Solutions S.C. (PSS) is a leading Electronic Payment Processing Company, established by major private banks of Ethiopia. The Company has implemented the first multi-institution shared-switch infrastructure to provide its member banks with a state of the art payment technology to drive ATM, POS, e-commerce, Mobile Banking and other payment channels and provide clearing of Debit/Credit card transactions for the banks.

Senior Hardware and Software Officer
Description of Duties
- Involve in the development and implementation of policy and procedure for the hardware and software support service.
- Perform ATM installation and deployment, ATM relocation/update, POS installation and deployment and troubleshooting.
- Handle ATM image change requests
- Provide training on hardware and software to end users.
- Provide the hardware and software support activities and communicate with internal and external customers in regard to their support requests.
- Provide the provision of first line and second line support for IT infrastructure.
- Provide regular preventive maintenance.
- Support and maintain office machines such as computers, printers, scanners, fax, etc.
- Regularly maintain the card production hardware and software platform including card personalization machines and PIN printers.
- Provide electronic journals and logs from ATM terminals.
- Prepare specification, RFP and RFP response documents in the supply chain management processes.
- Communicate with external vendors to solve any technical hardware and software support issues
- Check work done for payment requests related to ATM, card personalization machine and any other hardware and software items.
- Work with the sales team in the supply chain processes
- Provide after sales support
- Involve in building knowledge base from different issues observed in support services.
- Provide training on hardware and software maintenance to end users.
- Prepare periodic performance reports
- Undertake any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor.
Job Requirements
Qualification & Work Experience
- B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- At least five years’ experience in hardware and software maintenance.
Senior Database Administrator
Description of Duties
- Implement policies, procedures and write process documents for the database administration and lead in their implementation through continuous review.
- Execute the design, setup, installation and integration of various databases to meet the business’ requirements and are compliant with PCI DSS and other relevant security standards.
- Build highly available and best performing systems to meet the customer expectation.
- Work with vendors for all database support activities.
- Work with database vendors to implement fixes and issues that are logged to vendors portals.
- Develop and implement procedures to ensure data integrity and quality are maintained.
- Involve in different payment application and other related projects.
- Provide/revoke users’ privilege and monitor user access management.
- Conduct database tuning as per performance metrics.
- Design, develop and manage new and existing business intelligence reports.
- Manage and implement reporting systems.
- Implement system capacity planning and business continuity.
- Conduct database and logs backup, restoration, archiving and retention as per the policy and procedure regularly.
- Investigate and analyze trace files.
- Perform maintenance, upgrade and migration of database and related systems.
- Implement new database technologies and work with the relevant work units in the development of new products and services.
- Work closely with the payment application work unit.
- Perform end of day tasks
- Provide training, coaching and mentoring of employees within the unit towards effective career development.
- Attend incidents, interruptions, malfunctions, and system quality reductions at any moment.
- Prepare periodic reports

Job Requirements
Qualification & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in ICT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in database administration
- Training in Oracle Database.
- Extensive knowledge in database technologies, data security, database architecture
- Experience in Oracle database, Oracle RAC and grid infrastructure management
Senior Security Officer
Description of Duties
- Involve in the development and implementation of policies and procedures for the IT/cyber security.
- Implement and ensure information system confidentiality, integrity and availability to meet the customer expectation.
- Work with vendors for all support activities.
- Involve in the delivery of IT security and other related projects.
- Conduct periodic performance metrics.
- Involve in the design of capacity planning and manage business continuity.
- Lead maintenance, upgrade and migration of security management systems.
- Work with the relevant work units in the development of software, products and services adhere with security standards.
- Research new IT security standards and technologies.
- Conduct assessment of information security risk periodically as per PCI-DSS and other relevant standards.
- Conduct periodic IT security audit and take remedial actions on findings.
- Ensure and implement multi-layer security controls and review and update periodically including anti-virus, anti-malware, etc.
- Manage the assessed functionality and gap analysis of key business areas and infrastructure and determine the extent to which comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and take appropriate actions.
- Ensure the business operation complies with the company policy, regulatory bodies’ laws, regulations, standards including the National bank of Ethiopia, PCI-DSS, etc.
- Manage security incident response and process protocols including incident response report and sanctions.
- Involve in the budget preparation for the unit
- Provide guidance and training of all staffs and customers in the area of IT security and compliance.
- Prepare periodic reports.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
Qualification & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in ICT/Computer Science/ Information Systems/Finance/Business or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
- Training in Information Systems Security, IT Security Management and Cyber Security is preferable.
Senior Payment Application Officer
Description of Duties
- Implement the strategic direction of the payment application.
- Implement policies, procedures and write process documents for the payment application and lead in their implementation through continuous review.
- Execute the design, setup, installation and integration of various systems, applications, or process designs for payment application or any outsourced technology and business process solutions to meet the business’ requirements and are compliant with PCI DSS and other relevant security standards.
- Build high availability and best performance of systems to meet the customer expectation.
- Provide all application support activities.
- Work with vendors to implement fixes and issues that are logged to vendors portals.
- Involve in different payment application and other related projects.
- Provide/revoke users’ privilege and monitor user access management.
- Conduct periodic payment system performance metrics.
- Validate business intelligence reports
- Implement system capacity planning and build business continuity.
- Perform maintenance, upgrade and migration of systems.
- Research new payment technologies and work with the relevant work units in the development of new products and services.
