Description:
We are currently seeking a Network Administrator with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in managing our network infrastructure. As a Network Administrator, you will work closely with our IT team to maintain and optimize our network infrastructure, primarily focusing on Windows Server systems from 2000 to 2023. In addition to network administration responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise through IT-related training sessions for colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in configuring and maintaining Windows Server environments (2000-2023).
- Support the management of network resources, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Collaborate with senior administrators to monitor network performance, and security, and resolve issues.
- Participate in security practices and access control enforcement.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving network-related problems.
- Learn and contribute to assessments for network improvements.
- Assist in implementing network upgrades, patches, and optimizations.
- Support efforts to ensure network scalability and high availability.
- Assist in the development and delivery of IT-related training programs and workshops for colleagues.
- Seek mentorship from senior team members and actively participate in knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate in maintaining detailed network documentation, including configurations and procedures.
- Assist in creating training materials and documentation for colleagues.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide network solutions.
- Collaborate with senior administrators, vendors, and partners on network projects.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in network administration and support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with Windows Server environments (2000-2023).
- Basic knowledge of network administration concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs.
- Cisco or other relevant networking certifications (a plus but not required).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.
- Effective communication skills with the willingness to learn and convey technical concepts.
- Interest in cybersecurity practices and network security.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
