Job Description
1. JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of Area program manager, the Field Sales representative is responsible in collecting acquiring new customers, maintaining existing customers and selling MSIE’s pharmaceuticals and medical supplies and other products to pharmacies, drug stores and clinics in the respective Area Program Office. The Field Sales Representatives will act as the key link between our company, healthcare professionals and regulatory authority in the respective region. You will aim at meeting sales targets.
As a Field Sales Representatives, your goal is to increase the visibility and awareness of our company’s pharmaceutical and medical products and maximize sales growth.
Responsibilities
Building Business Opportunities
- Assess clients’ needs and present the value proposition to the customers.
- Liaise with and persuade targeted providers to prescribe our products by utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysis
- Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor.
- Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential customers.
Maintaining Business Relationships
- Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
- Provide product information and deliver product samples
- Submits collected orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Work with sales team to develop strategies and implement brand strategies to ensure a consistent marketing message
- Build positive trust relationships (by providing the correct information, being on time etc) with medical representatives to influence targeted group in the decision-making process
- Collect customer complaints and submit to their line manager for further investigation and providing solutions. Implement the solutions provided by the line manager/sales manager. by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
- Ensure that all customers i.e. wholesalers, pharmacies, drug stores, rural drug venders and clinics have their own legally certified license and stamp.
- Monitor/ensure the delivery of products to the respective MSIE networked clinics, and customers. Report if there is any difficulty on time.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets given by the department.
Documentation and Reporting
- Keep accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback
- Keep the line manager informed by submitting activity and results reports,( such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses) of performances on agreed targets for follow up.
- Provide historical customer records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
Learning
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage
- Pursue continuous learning and professional development and stay up-to-date with latest medical data
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshop/trainings/capacity buildings designed by MSIE

- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Continuing Professional Development Center (CPD-C) Officer (Maternity Cover)
Business development and marketing
- Implements training center business development strategies and marketing plan to achieve agreed training delivery KPIs and financial goals.
- With support from Marketing and Communication and Clinical Quality and Providers Department, leads execution of training center promotion activities to partner with potential clients like private organizations, development partners and government institutions
- Produces different types of promotional materials, brochures, catalogues and promotion over social media to attract potential domestic and international clients for training needs
- Builds strong relations and follow up with existing and potential partners and other clients to increase training center productivity.
- Explores upcoming training needs, tender advertisement made by the government and partnership with MSIE training centers
- Mapping and consistently maintaining database of existing and potential partners, clinical and non-clinical training needs in the market and follow up system in place
- Prepares and execute training center budget, expenses and income collection per agreed procedure and policies.
Operational management
- Works as focal person for planning, organizing, coordination and managing training center related activities.
- Closely works with the MSIE operation, finance and other support functions to facilitate logistics including training materials, food, transportation and accommodation (if required) support for participants/trainers and practicum site communication etc.
- Ensures availability of all required training materials, aids and facility readiness to conduct successful trainings.
- Prepares training schedule ahead of time to ensure efficient use of training center resources
- Responsible for maintenance of training center infrastructure, facility ambience and cleanness all the time.
- Responsible for preparing annual procurement plan, managing assets and inventories of the training center per policy
Monitoring and reporting
- Compiles and manages the competency assessment of health care providers.
- Compile’s training and competency assessment (CA) monthly reports.
- Keeps proper documentation, filing and record keeping of training per policy
- Prepares periodic KPIs report of the training center to track financial and service delivery progress of the training center
- Prepares client feedback management reports and action plan
- Performs other duties as assigned by the commercial manager/Training Manager.

Private Health Sector Support Officer
2. DUTIES/TASKS
Lead medical and equipment/supplies and training sales activities
- Proactively Support demands creation and delivery of value-adding and attractive training per the channel’s KPI
- Support team on planning, and delivery of presentations on company products, equipment/training services
- Closely work with commercial finace team on the financial and asset transactions and management; will also closely follow on proper recordings and reportings of the channels medical equipemnts and supplies for each area office
- Properly document and periodically updates potential outlets and trainees’ profile and share learnings accordingly
- Support the team to Meet and/or exceed quotas, track all sales activities in the company system, and catchment area and keep current by updating the information regularly

Productivity and performance management

- Facilitate monthly performance reviews and weekly updates of the BDN activities.
- Participates in service target setting and activity planning for each area office.
- Assists in the development of new Private Sector Engagement project ideas and provides input into proposals to attract donor funds.
- Ensures that the Private Sector Engagement program is implemented according to the approved donor agreements and MSI program standards.
- Prepares annual plan of operation of the franchise activity based on the operational plan and relevant project document;
- Provides technical and managerial support to the private clinics and other partners;
- Evaluates the progress of the PSE Activity at the Area Programs Office against set targets and key performance indicators (KPIs),
- periodically Updates and review MOU agreement formats and code of conduct for each clinic at the Support office;
- Oversees that commodity supplies are procured and distributed, training, marketing, and promotion activities are implemented according to the plan;
- Assess and timely document and disseminate best practices and /or lessons learned from MSIE’s PSE;
- Undertakes follow-up and interim performance evaluation of franchisee clinics;
- Coordinates or facilitates training of private clinic providers identified in the Area Programs Office;

Quality Assurance Responsibilities
- Ensure that all clinical staffs are competency assessed annually for every service they provide and ensure that clinical staffs providing service independently are at level 1 competency and track clinical competency & training continuously
- Ensure action plans related to Internal QTA, External QTA, incidents, supportive supervision, and team meeting are timely completed
- Ensure Clinical Record audit is conducted every month
- Ensure incidents are timely reported and adhere to an incident management system with a no-blame, learning culture
- Ensure availability of all relevant MSI policies and guidelines at each service delivery site
- Participate in each quarterly MAT (medical advisory team) meeting
- Ensure internal audit is conducted to all service delivery sites once per year

Laboratory Technician/Storekeeper
DUTIES/TASKS
- Collects and labels all specimens and ensures that they are as per the order;
- Undertakes laboratory tests as prescribed by the medical staff;
- Puts the interest of clients / patients above all other considerations and ensures the confidentiality of all cases;
- Handles properly all laboratory instruments / equipment and ensures timely reporting of mechanical failures;
- Ensures proper receipt, storage, safe keep, utilization and regular replenishment of enough stocks of required lab supplies by pre-establishing re order level;
- Maintains proper, up-to-date and orderly daily records of laboratory tests on registration book and ensures their readily availability for reference and inspection;
- Receives laboratory reagents by checking and ensuring the date of expiry;
- Renders proper training to technicians and / or assistants, as deemed necessary;
- Ensures the maintenance of a high level of standard;
- Avails himself/herself to regular stock taking as and when required;
- Prepares and submits monthly and / or annual laboratory and stock reports, as deemed necessary;
