The purpose of this role is to encode responses given by respondents in the market research studies, which include focus group discussions, In-depth-interviews, one-on-one interviews, etc.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Presentable (includes dress code) – need to be presentable to the potential participants and have an office presence.
- Confidence – a good enumerator is always confident, not only confident by nature, but also in skills of approaching, presenting, and communicating oneself in an informed and confident manner.
- Punctuality and reliability is extremely important, especially throughout the project process
- Availability – must not have conflicting assignments both internally and externally
- Reliability – to be able to earn the trust of both the client and the participants, to ensure assignments are completed in a timely and thorough manner. Respect everyone’s time by always getting it done.
- Honesty – have a direct and honest feedback in all situations and care about favorable outcomes.
- Curious- ask questions to understand the standards and accept responsibility.
- Relatable – be open enough to relate to potential participants
- Politeness – should be very polite while interviewing respondents during the market research
- Confidentiality – Protecting confidentiality and privacy is a duty owed to possible research participants and the client.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience Required
- Encoding or related experience in market research specifically qualitative and quantitative research
- Good interpersonal communication skills and a quick learner
- Able to read and write in both Amharic and English
- One year experience.

Facilitator is responsible to coordinate projects by aligning with key stakeholders and assuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively.
Purpose of Role
The role of the facilitator is to plan, guide and manage goals, liaise between key stakeholders on pertinent information and solve problems. In addition, for the overall execution of the project conduct quality checks on the team work.

The role holder is responsible to take detailed, clear, and accurate notes to aid transcribers and insight analysts with relevant information to perform their tasks.
Purpose of Role
This role is mainly focused on taking detailed notes during focus group discussions.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Guarantee notes are adequate in content, identify key points and provide relevant information.
- Ensure notes are legible and readable.
- Pick-up on non-verbal cues to ensure subtext is captured.
- Keep-up with different participants conversation in a group, without missing vital information.

- One year experience.
- Diploma holder and note-taking experience is a requirement.
- Good interpersonal communication skills.
