The RTP Scholarship (formerly known as the Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship) is a competitive scholarship awarded to domestic and international students undertaking a research higher degree at Central Queensland University (CQU).
The scholarship covers the tuition fees for up to four years of full-time study for PhD or Research Masters degrees. In addition, students receive a stipend to cover living expenses, including accommodation, books and materials, and general living costs. The value of the stipend varies depending on the level of the degree being pursued.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must have a strong academic record and meet CQU’s admission requirements for research degrees. They must also be enrolled or intending to enroll in a research program at CQU.
The application process for the scholarship typically involves submitting a research proposal and other supporting documentation, such as academic transcripts, references, and evidence of English proficiency. Applications for the RTP Scholarship close in late October or early November each year for the following academic year.
Successful applicants will be notified in December and commence their studies in the first half of the following year.
